Jobless Summer 2019 Roadtrip - Day 24b:
Paddling down from 11 km, we were happy to reach this section as the whitewater is much more consistent in this section. Where as upstream is chill until you get to the two big rapids, this section has one after the other fun class III to easy IV rapid. And all of that occurs in a pretty canyon with great water color. The downside of this run though is that the good stuff doesn't last super long. For, not far downstream is the 5.5 km section which is substantially easier.

Mi 0.0:
- S-turn (III to III+). A nice fun s-turn rapid that we ran middle moving right and then back left.
Double Drop (III). Two small drops are run down the left bank.
- Landslide (III). A fun but unchannalized drop where the right bank is scoured, we ran right of center.
Shallow Ledge (III). A shallow ledge with a sticky hole. We ran right. One in our group ran further left and got stuck for a short while.
Canyon (III+ to IV-). Two nice rapids in a canyon setting. The first we ran down the left and boofed over a small hole. This then calms out for 100 yards where the river goes to the right around a bedrock outcropping. We ran down with the flow from here down for 200 yards of fun moves.
Things start to open up downstream though there are one or two more fun little rapids.
Take-out: From New Denver, head north on BC-6 for 5 km. As you enter the town of Rosebery, take a right onto Wilson Creed Rd just before crossing the creek. Park immediately on the left.
Put-in: Continue up Wilson Creek Rd for 6.8 km. It is pretty non-descript spot, park on the side of the road and walk down the washout to the river.
